With the summer months coming to an end and fall just around the corner, we’ve created a list of songs that our talented group of Music Supervisors have been listening to lately, be it spinning these tunes DJ’ing at clubs, relaxing at home while finding that next un-discovered artist, or curating these selections for the many clients we program for around the globe. One of our seasoned music supervisors, Alex Espinosa, has selected a few of his favorites below that will take you on a journey where the sun starts to fade and the cold nights get longer.
Artist: Rob Crow

Track: Business Interruptus
Besides being from my hometown of San Diego and seeing his previous band, Pinkback, numerous times, Rob Crow’s solo efforts never seems to amaze me with how current he tends to be with his indie sounds of using heavy bass and amazing melodies. With his current band called, Gloomy Place, and the single “Business Interruptus” this trend still exist. Local San Diego club, The Casbah, which was my home away from home in the early 90s makes an appearance in the accompanied video below as well.
Artist: Future Generations
Twitter: @futuregenband
Track: Coast
New York seems to be churning out more and more indie rock bands as of late and with this track by the Bronx group, Future Generations, they are keeping the status quo of delivering great songs. With its just release debut album on Frenchkiss Records, look for more from this foursome.
Artist: Kaiser Cheifs
Twitter: @KaiserChiefs
Track: Parachute
Being active in the music scene since 2000, this English indie band from Leeds makes it look easy at staying current with their new single called “Parachute” off of their forthcoming release out in October. This track has a vibe and sound that signifies the ending of summer.
Artist: Geowulf
Twitter: @geowulfmusic
Track: Saltwater
With great use of re-verb vocals and breezy sounds, the Australian duo Geowulf, compromising of Star Kendrick and Toma Banjanin, will make you want to unwind while soaking in the last bit of sun. Making the rounds on college radio as well as indie stations like KEXP is sure to raise their status of undiscovered bands.
Artist: Poolside
Twitter: @poolside
Track: And The Sea
Los Angeles DJ Duo Filip Nikolic and Jeffrey Paradise or better known as Poolside, have been in previous bands before joining forces to create soundscapes or chillwave. Their music like the new single “And The Sea” takes me back to the warm California nights of just chilling and hanging out with friends before the start of school.
